www.caspot.com brings you the exclusive post of Failed in CA Exams? Overcome Failure With These Tips
“Failure is not a dead end, it`s actually a U-turn, Just go ahead in the right direction”
I wanted to post this article since long back. Today I have got time to upload the article. This article is exclusively for my friends who coudn`t clear their exams successfully. I can feel what my professional brother`s and sister`s are feeling today on not clearing in current examinations. It`s because at some point of time in earlier attempts, I was in the same position as you are today.
I only beg god that such position doesn` t arise for any of my professional friend. With this feeling I thought I should post an article for you and share my experience to cope up with failure. It`s mostly Do`s and Don`ts that I expect one to follow to be successful in his forthcoming attempt. It`s besides rigorous and diligent hard work that a CA aspirant is expected to go through for clearing his exams.
DO`S-
Wipe out the Feeling of failure -
First
and most prominently, get out of the feeling of failure. Believe in
yourself. Go out of your study room, relax for some time, forget that
you are a CA student and do what you like for sometime. For e.g Watch
movie, Play your favorite sport, going to your favourite destination
etc. But make sure that you are completely out of the feeling that you
cannot clear your next attempt. “ You become extraordinary the moment
you choose to be so, because an average person cannot take such a
decision”. You have opted for CA course, remember you have opted this
course because you know you can clear this exams.
Analyze your past mistakes-
Once
you are completely refreshed and on neutral mode, think of possible
mistakes that you might have committed in your past attempt. It might be
mistakes that you might have committed knowingly or unknowingly.
Mistakes like Procrastination, No effective time management, Keeping
some topics as optional, No effective revision, bad health etc. Making
mistakes is not a problem, but repeating the same mistake again and
again is a problem. Also apply for certified copies of your
answer-sheets for evaluating possible mistakes that you might have made
while writing your paper. It helps a lot, believe me. Discuss your
answer sheets with your friends, to know your mistakes or some
suggestions for next exam. Also you will come to know as to what are
institute`s expectations from students or how an examiner evalutes
answer sheets.
Plan for the future-
After
analyzing your mistakes, It`s time for properly planning for your next
attempt. Make a strong determination that come what may, you are not
going to clear the next attempt. Make sure that you are highly motivated
till you write the last word of your last paper. Don`t lose hope, you
are attempting for one of the toughest exams. Be calm and study
diligently. Make sure that thoughts about your past attempts don`t
wander in your mind. Day after day, as you are preparing for your exams,
stay highly motivated.
For motivation, few steps which I would suggest would be as follows(include in your routine for not more than half an hour)-
- Listen to motivational songs, videos
- Read motivational thoughts, anecdotes, articles( preferably when you are tired)
- Once a while watch motivational movie.(Movie like pursuit of happiness)
Don`t panic for study-
Don`t panic for study directly . Analyze your past. Then take appropriate steps for the future. First get out of the feeling of negatives. If you don`t plan well, you are bound to get stuck at the end. Remember - ” Failing to plan is Planning to Fail”
Stay away from people and thoughts which make you hopeless about your future-
Even
as your study is in progress, be totally away from people who are
negative about you. Be away from myths that institute gives less marks
and all. Make yourself bold each day. There is only one way to clear and
that is to have thorough knowledge of each subject and executing it
appropriately in exam within the time frame. “ For getting success, your
feeling of succeeding should be greater than feeling of Failure.”
Do Smart work – Don`t do hard work, do smart work. 10-12 hours of planned study is better than 24 hours of unplanned hard work. Also especially plan for the revision which you will do 1 day before the exams. Remember, a day before each subject is very crucial time. Plan for this day in advance as you are studying for your exams. Plan in such a way that you can have a Bird`s eye view on each topic and the entire syllabus gets revised. Highlight important sentences. Make separate book for formulae of SFM and Costing.
With this I`ll end my article stating that “Patience, Perseverance and persistence” are the 3 important qualities that one should imbibe in himself till the moment you clear your exams. All the Best for the future.
