Guys On 30 May 2015 ICAI made the announcement regarding CA NOV 2015 AMENDMENTS IN SYLLABUS , and dont worry its a good news. ICAI has deleted one topic from Accounts for Both IPCC and CA Final (Financial Reporting). As mentioned in the title this is the official Amendment for CA NOV 2015 Exams according to which topics has been removed by ICAI.

Due to the recent events and change in the Accounting System, the following Amendments has been made by ICAI.
Notification given by ICAI regarding CA Final – Financial Reporting :

The topic of “Overview of International Accounting Standards (IAS) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Interpretations by International Financial Reporting Interpretation Committee (IFRIC), Significant differences vis-a-vis Indian Accounting Standards; Understanding of US GAAPs, Applications of IFRS and US” would be excluded from the syllabus of Final Paper 1 : Financial Reporting and the same would not be applicable from November, 2015 Examination.
Notification given by ICAI regarding CA IPCC – Advanced Accounting :
The topic of “Financial Reporting of Electricity Companies” would be excluded from the syllabus of Intermediate (IPC) Paper 5 : Advanced Accounting and the same would not be applicable from November, 2015 Examination and onwards.
As you know new legislations have been passed recently. Some of these are also included and are important for CA November 2015 Exams. The most important ones among them are :
1. CARO 2015 – We have shared CARO 2015 Notes for both IPCC and CA Final Students applicable in November 2015 Exams.

2. GST Bill : Not effective yet, only got passed in Lok Sabha. So not applicable for November 20015 Exams. Though you can expect it soon and there will be no Indirect Tax (which you currently study).

3. Companies (Amendments) Act 2015 : Amendments in New Companies Act 2013, got the assent from President on 25th May 2015. Not applicable for November 2015 exams but will most probably be applicable in May 2016 Exams.
