Hello Friends,
I am Anant Gujrani (CA Final student) currently perusing Articleship in Audit Firm in New Delhi.
Articleship is something, which distinct our course apart from others. ICAI has just given us three years of Articleship.
If you thought, you could have a dummy Articleship or from a low sized firm just to crack those stupid eight exams. Then people think it twice, as per my view you have wasted your three crucial years and you may get following opportunities:-

• Your first salary.
• It is only period where you can learn as a child and there would always a shelter for you either as a Principal or Audit Manager.
• Huge difference in Practical and Theoretical world
• Got to know Time management and respect the value of money (Kyunki Aish tu baap ke paise se hoti, apne paise se tu sirf jarorate puri hoti).
• How to deal with client and Boss and learn to interact with people.
• Importantly you will have a platform where you can show the world. Yes who I am.
• Explore different places.
• Many More, etc.

Many people I have seen in my firm who Chartered Accountant are having dummy Articleship just to have experience and they agreed to work as low as Rs 10,000 per Month. Does not it degrading the value of prestige course.
Now a days it is common, First Question of Interviewer “How many audits of listed companies you have conducted?” Do you have an answer?
Articles and students are not solely responsible. Reality is, it is not a cup of Tea to find a good Articleship in Market. When I cleared my IPC Exam, I came from my city to Delhi in search of Good Articleship. I have applied in more than 50 Firms from Big-4 to Low mid-sized firm. There was not a positive response although I have scored 65% in IPC and Cleared Both Group in First attempt. Even if I am getting the Firm, then I do not like its work exposure and environment. It was not an easy job.

Therefore, Guys be careful in deciding to peruse Articleship in which firm. Seriously, it will going to give an edge to your career.
