How To Pass CA Final Both Groups ? - Schedule For Study in 3 Months

www.caspot.com brings you the exclusive post of How To Pass CA Final Both Groups ? - Schedule For Study in 3 Months

I am answering assuming that you have finished coaching classes for atleast the practical subjects, identified the authors/textbooks you are comfortable with and are really motivated to crack the exam inspite of just 3 months left !

Based on my experience, I think 3 months is just about enough. You are treading on a very thin rope but if you do not waste any further days, it should be enough.

Start with a subject that you are most confident about. If you study for 12 hours a day, I think you should be able to finish it. By finishing it I mean, to be able to cover atleast 80% of the subject. Study smart. Check for trends and weightage assigned to each chapter (or even parts of chapters). Check the chapters which you have opted to leave out, there is a high probability that the same kind of questions come from them .. read these few questions of these chapters. AT the end of each chapter try to summarize it in your mind, if you are able to do it, you are pretty much prepared.

If this is indeed your strong subject, you will finish in less than a week. Repeat this with one subject a week for all the theory subjects and 4 days for the practical ones (because you have attended classes and have a fair idea of the subject). If you cannot study one subject for a long period mix 2 subjects and try to finish in 2 weeks. However, I strongly advice that you study one subject at a stretch as saves a lot of time and improves understanding of the subject.

After you are done with your first reading in less than about 2 months, its time to start again.. only this time give each theory subject just 3 days and practical ones 2 days. Chances are that you will not remember many things you read during the first time, but hey just keep going .. loosing motivation or feeling nervous is only a waste of time .. just stick to your timetable and remember this is the best you can do at that moment.

With just about a 10 days or so remaining, you will have a chance to revise 2 subjects that you felt you needed to go through again (preferably the last ones like indirect tax) and to revise the first 2 papers of the exam.

During the exams, stick to a routine. There is no point over-stressing. the hard part is over .. now you should just put in about 10-12 hours and go to the exam with a fresh mind. Do not underestimate the importance of those 3 hours ... keep your mind fresh so that it is able to recollect stuff that you have read months ago, it is able to think fast and is able to methodically write answers (even for theory subjects)

At any point in time, do not doubt yourself. Even if you do, just get over it quickly and stick to your plan.

Also, take care of your health .. falling ill is a luxury you cannot afford. Eat well and sleep on time. Someone suggested locking yourself up for months .. that is hardly what you should do. Instead, go for balanced study hours, entertainment and sleep. At the cost of sounding silly, I will still give you my timetable for a day. But you are free to make yours :

6.45 : Wake-up
7.00 - 9.00 : Study
9.00 - 10.00 : Breakfast, newspaper and shower
10.00 - 13.00 : Study
13.00 - 14.30 : Lunch, TV and a quick nap
14.30 - 17.30 : Study
17.30 - 19.00 : Play cricket, watch TV, catch up with friends
19.00 - 20.30 : Study
20.30.- 21.30 : Dinner, TV, take a walk
21.30 to 23.00 : Study
23.00 : Retire to bed !

This allows you enough breaks in between and you comfortably study 11-12 hours a day without stressing or reducing your sleep. Again, you can adjust it the way you like !

All it will take is a disciplined, high-spirited effort ! Believe me, you will make it at the end !

Note : I am a CA Final ranker and have country highest marks in one of the subjects. But, by no stretch of imagination, am I a very intelligent or a very studious guy .. I am just high-spirited and was extremely motivated to crack the exam by all means possible.
